Now the Optimus Maximus keyboard finally will be shipped to it’s new owners, Art Lebedev is working on a new concept. Contrary to it’s predecessor, the new product, which has no name yet, does not use the OLED-technology.
The new concept is based on the Upravlator idea, which can be found on Art Lebedevs website. The Optimus Upravlator is a 10.8 inch color-LCD (800x600 resolution), with 12 transparent buttons on the screen surface. Each of these buttons offer five switches, one on each side and one in the middle, which can be configured freely by software.
Using a foldable foot, it is possible to adjust the Upravlator in height and angle. The monitor is connected using either a standard VGA-connector or a USB port, and is compatible with Windows and Mac OS X.
The latest creation in the Art Lebedev line of products is expected to hit shelves in the second quarter of 2008.
