Kingston Technology introduces 800MHz ultra low-latency memory modules for notebooks. The HyperX PC2-6400 CL4 SO-DIMM modules are available in a capacity of 4 GB. The new modules use Serial Presence Detect( SPD) which, according to Kingston, should account for significant performance increase on most notebooks.

When replacing the standard notebook memory, the BIOS remains untouched. The modules are perfectly suited for the new P45/Centrino 2 laptops, but can be used elsewhere as well due to the two pre-programmed ultra low latency profiles: DDR2-800 CL4-4-4-12@1.8V and DDR2-667 CL3-4-4-10@1.8V
