Silverstone has announced the Fortress FT01 cases, four high-end midi-towers. The cases are built out of 3 mm to 6 mm aluminum, and come in black and silver, with or without transparent window. They offer room for three large fans, two 180mm and a 120mm one. Apart from cooling better, this should also make things a lot more quiet.  

The hard disks can be installed in a special cage using anti-resonance pads. Silverstone bundles adaptors making it possible to hotswap SATA II drives. There's room for seven 3.5" bays and five 5.25" drives. The Fortress FT01 has a frontpanel with two USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire port and two audio connectors. The case's dimensions are 211 mm (w) x 486 mm (h) x 494.5 mm (d).

The standard SilverStone Fortress FT01 costs 165 euro. The Fortress FT01-W (with window) will set you back 169 euro.
