After yesterday's report on Patriot's new DDR3-memory kits in the Viper serie, the brand also announces new Viper DDR2 modules. The DDR2 memory modules will become available in three dual channel kits. THe fastest addition to the serie is a 4GB DDR2-1000MHz kit with 5-5-5-12 latency. The remaining two 4 GB kits run at effective speeds of DDR2-900 with a latency of 4-5-4-12.

The two DDR2-900 kits are identical, apart from the heatspreader color. THe memory modules with the serial number PVS24G7200LLK have a black heatspreader, whereas the modules with serial number PVS24G7200LLKN have a green one (the N stands for nVidia).

The price and release date of the memory kits is still unknown. All modules come with a lifetime warranty.
