LaCie monitors with RGB LED-backlight

LaCie introduces the new 700-serie of LCD monitors. According to LaCie, these are the ideal monitors for creative professionals that require excellent color precision. Thanks to the RG LED-backlight of the 700-serie, the colors red, blue and green should be displayed a lot clearer. These monitors would also have a bigger color range compared to conventional LCD screens. 

 

All 700-serie screens are equipped with Blue Eye Pro Proof Edition, a calibration software bundle by LaCie. This software offers the possibility to calibrate and define displays, checks precision and keeps the display uniform. This updated software also has a certification test for color- and grey balance precision, developed by the UGRA. The test is based on the ISO 12646-standard and the color patches of the renowned UGRA/FOGRA MediaWedge. 

LaCie's 700-serie screens also feature ColorKeeper, a stabilizing technology for the backlight. This technology constantly analyzes the brightness and color type of the backlight, adjusting it real-time. The 14-bit Gamma Correction table takes care of color display and transits. 

The monitors are available in 20, 24 and 30 inch. The LaCie 724 and 730 have a 16:10 aspect ratio. This format allows the display of two A-4 pages side by side. LaCie's 720 is an alternative for users that prefer a 4:3 ratio. All 700-serie monitors have an integrated USB 2.0, come with the earlier mentioned calibration software and with LaCie's easyHood, which keeps the sunlight from the screen. 

The LaCie monitors have recommended prices of €1529,- (720), €2169,- (724) and €4459,- for the 730. De Blue eye colorimeter is bundled for an additional € 250,-.
