Samsung has announced a new line-up of external harddisks, the Spinpoint N2 series. The 1.8" disk is so thin, it's best compared to a credit card. The N2 drive has a maximum capacity of 10 GB, spins at 4200 rpm and has a USB-connector.

Writing data can be done with a speed of up to 23 MB/s, where reading reaches up to 27 MB/s. This isn't the kind of performance you'd expect from a modern day hard disk, but with its 1.4 Watt power consumption, that can be overlooked. As of yet, the device is only available in China, bearing a recommended price of 235 dollar.
