Xplore reports the launch of its new tablet computer, named iX104C4. The iX104C4 is a so-called "rugged" tablet pc, which means it's specially designed for extreme work environment, such as excessive vibration, high or low temperatures and a high humidity degree.

According to Xplore, the new thing about the iX104C4 is that it performs up to 20% better than similar products. With the help of the AIVue Xtreme technology, the 10.4 inch XGA TFT tablet screen would be the best readable screen in its class. The tablet is powered by a 1.2 GHz Intel Core Duo U2500 processor. It has 1 GB DDR2 memory, 120 GB hard disk, two USB-ports, a Gigabit LAN connector, BlueTooth, GPS and three serial ports. Optionally, additional memory, a Solid State Disk (SSD) and stronger battery are available. The tablet comes with either Windows XP Tablet PC or Vista Business pre-installed.
