After the six existing Intel P45 motherboards by MSI, the company now launches a seventh board, the P45-8D (also known as the Memory Lover). The remarkable thing about this motherboard are the eight memory slots, four for DDR2 memory and another four for DDR3.
The four DDR2 memory slots offer room for up to 16GB of DDR2-800 memory, while the four DDR3 memory slots can have up to 8GB DDR3-1600 placed in them. Like MSI's previous P45 motherboards, this board supports Intel's latest Core 2 processors. The P45-8D has one PCI-Express x16 slot, eight SATA II ports, a Gigabit LAN connector and 7.1 audio.
When MSI's new P45 motherboard will become available is still unknown, so is its price.
