[IDF08] USB 3.0 demonstration

On the Intel Developer Forum, Intel showed a demonstration of USB 3.0 with its partner. The new standard, which is initially called SuperSpeed USB, is to achieve performance of up to 10x USB 2.0. Where USB 2.0 can reach theoretical speeds of 480 Megabit/s, USB 3.0 can go up to a theoretical 4.8 Gigabit/s. To achieve such speeds, an extra datapair is placed in the cable. One of the other improvements with USB 3.0 is that the connection is full-duplex, making it possible to send and receive data at the same time. The new version will be paired with new devices connectors, it'll come in both a full-size and a new micro-connector. The demo setups showed an average transfer speed of 307 Megabyte/sec.
