[IDF08] Dual-core Atom Mini ITX bord
Intel has introduced a new Mini ITX motherboard based on a dual-core Atom 330 processor during the IDF Fall 2008. Specification-wise, the D945GCLF2 looks a lot like its single-core Atom predecessor, the D945GCLF. The new board also features a single DDR2-slot, two SATA-ports, one PATA connector and a PCI-slot. The integrated graphics card only being equipped with a VGA-output.
With its second core, the performance of this board should clearly be a lot higher than it's predecessor's. The picture shows that the dual-core Atom exists of two adjacent single-core versions. This means Intel hasn't made a special chip design for this processor.
The motherboard should become available within a few weeks at a still undisclosed price.
