More 9400GT announcements

After earlier introductions by MSI and Zotac, other companies under which Gigabyte, Point of View, Albatron and Leadtek have also announced their new graphics cards based on the 9400GT graphics chip. Compared to the 9400GT's by MSI and Zotac, Gigabyte's version has a releatively large cooler on a blue PCB. Point of View will launch both actively as passively cooled models. Albatron's 9400GT also has a blue PCB, where Leadtek's one has a green one, also with a relatively large cooler. 

Gigabyte's 9400GT has 512 MB of GDDR2 memory, clocked at 800 MHz. The frequencies of the core and the shaders are respectively 550 and 1400 MHz. The card features an 128-bit memory bus and 16 stream processors. The box shows that a DVI to HDMI converter is bundled as well. 

Point of View will launch a total of four 9400GT graphics cards, two actively cooled and two passive models. The four graphics cards will have 512 MB or 1024 MB GDDR2 memory, clocked at respectively 800 and 666 Mhz. the cards have a DVI, D-SUB and a VGA output. They also feature the usual nVidia PureVideo HD, DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0 support. 

Albatron introduces a 9400GT card with almost identical specifications to the one listed earlier. Onboard is 512 MB GDDR2 memory with a clockspeed of 667 MHz. The card has the smallest (active) cooler from all the 9400GT's we've seen. 

Leadtek is the first company that releases a 9400GT with a slightly different clockspeed for the core, it is clocked at 575 Mhz instead of the regular 550 Mhz. Leadtek will also launch a passively cooled version of the card, featuring the same speeds. The passively cooled model has a cooling construction with two heatpipes. 

Contrary to earlier reports, Zotac also seems to be releasing a passive version of the 9400GT graphics card. The card will feature the same cooler that Zotac uses on its 9500GT models and will be placed in the companies' Zone serie. Like the actively cooled version, the card has two DVI and a D-SUB output.
