AMD has drawn all attention with its release of the Radeon HD 4870 X2. Apart from this high-end model, AMD will introduce new graphics cards in September, based on the 55nm RV730 chip. This RV730 chip uses a 128-bit memory interface and GDDR3 memory.

In september AMD will launch the first graphics card based on the RV730 3D-chip

It's expected that the RV730 will feature 320 stream processors, thus being quite similar to the RV670, also known as the Radeon HD 3870. Another thing mentioned about the cards is that the basic version will have 512MB GDDR3 memory and clockspeeds of 750/1800MHz. A low-budget version will also be introduced, having the GPU clocked at 600MHz. The RV730 will cost about US $149.
