BenQ has introduced two new widescreen monitors with a 16:9 aspect ratio, the HDTV standard TV's use. BenQ's E900HD and G900HD are sized 18.5 inch and have a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The latter makes the two screens suited for display of 720p video material.

The BenQ E900HD

The E900HD and G900HD differ in the amount of features, the E900HD has two integrated 1W speakers. According to the manufacturer the screens feature a brightness of 300cd/m2, contrastratio of 1000:1 and a response time of 5ms.

The screens have a HDCP DVI connector and an analog VGA port. Both monitors should be available by the end of August at a still undisclosed price..
