AMD launched its new 790GX chipset last week, after which most manufacturers immediately revealed their motherboards to the public. ECS has also introduced such a board, the ECS Black Series A790GXM-A. The board, based on the 790GX chip and SB750 southbridge offers support to all recent AMD socket AM2+ processors. The onboard Radeon HD 3300 IGP features 128 MB SidePort Memory.
The new ECS motherboard has two PCI-E 2.0 x16 slots, when used in Crossfire both slots will run at x8 speed. Connectivity options exist of six SATA II ports, 7.1 High Definition audio, two Gbit LAN controllers, D-Sub and HDMI. Strange is the lack of a DVI-output, something most 790GX motherboards do have.
The recommended price of ECS Black Series A790GXM-A isn't known yet.| Related news |
