Nearly two months after the introduction of the first Release Candidate, the official version of Windows Home Server Power Pack 1 has been completed. Currently, only the English PP1 can be downloaded: the file is 22.6 MB.

It is expected that translated Power Packs will become available in the coming month. The Pack will also be available on Windows Update.

Microsoft claims to have solved the infamous data corruption bug in PP1. Other improvements that come with the update are:
  • Windows Vista x64 support
  • Backup of home server Shared Folders
  • Simpler and better remote access features
  • Enhanced energy efficiency
  • Better performance
  • Chinese and Japanese versions
