The Taiwanese ECS is releasing a new SLI kit, branded the GeForce 9800GTX~Hydra Pack. In the box are two 9800GTX~graphics cards with watercooling blocks. Not only the pump but also the radiator and the reservoir are located in the double 5.25 inch bays. The watercooling system used by ECS is Thermaltake´s Bigwater 760i cooling system.
The reservoir of this watercooling has a capacity of 130 cc and the 120 mm fan that cools the radiator runs between 1600 and 2400 rpm. The integrated 12V pump has a capacity of 500 L/hour and an estimated lifetime of 80.000 hours MTBF.
ECS reports that by using watercooling, the graphics cards are more quiet and the cooling performance can be enhanced by 18.7%. The two graphics cards are clocked at 738 MHz for the GPU, 1836 MHz for the shaders and 2.2 GHz effectively for the GDDR3 memory. The cards have 512MB graphics memory, conmmunicated to through a 256-bits memory bus. According to ECS, the 9800GTX+ Hydra Pack is also perfectly suited for GPGPU applications and CUDA physics acceleration.
The GeForce 9800GTX+ Hydra Pack comes bundled with the game Rainbow Six Vegas 2. The price of this complete SLI kit isn't known yet.
