According to Fudzilla, Intel will release the first dualcore version of its Atom processor on the 21st of September. The dualcore will be the Atom 330, clocked at 1.6 GHz and featuring two times 512KB of L2 cache. The Atom dualcore uses the same BGA 437 socket as the single-core and the FSB is also 533 MHz, making both processor fully interchangeable.

The dualcore processor is almost 50% more expensive than the Atom 320 singlecore with a price of $43 versus $29. A motherboard with a soldered Atom singlecore can be obtained for a measly 58 dollar, it is expected that boards with the dualcore version will cost about $80.  Intel seems a bit late with the dualcore models of this efficient 45nm, but since the single-core Atom's are already selling like hot cakes, it won't be a problem for Intel.
