The Chinese website hardspell.com has released the rumor that the 55nm GT200b will be discontinued in order to put the focus on the successor, the GT300.

According to Hardspell, the GT300 series will be produced on 45nm with clockspeeds of 850MHz for the core, 200MHz for the shaders and 4000MHz (effectively) for the 1 GB 256-bit GDDR5.

Techpowerup reports that nVidia's newest generation of graphics cards will feature 384 shader units. Where these rumors are true is still unclear: nVidia hasn't made any statements relating to the GT300 yet.
