Corel reports that its BD-Live certified WinDVD software supports the Radeon HD 4800 series. Corel says that both the Radeon HD 4850 and the 4870 in combination with the Corel WinDVD software, should relieve load from the CPU in activities such as dual-stream hardware acceleration and faster framerates.

The HD 4800 supporting version is already being delivered to OEM's, retail versions will appear by the end of the summer.
