Foxconn launches the N68S7AA-8EKRS2H motherboard with the nVidia 680i SLI chipset driving a range of Intel multi/single-core processors. The N68S7AA-8EKRS2H's LGA775 socket supports the Intel Core2 Extreme/Intel Core2 Quad, Intel Core2 Duo/Intel Pentium D, or single-core Intel Pentium 4 processors. With a multi-core CPU, 1333 MHz Front Side Bus and up to 8 GB of dual-channel DDR2 800/667/533 MHz system memory, the N68S7AA-8EKRS2H should set new benchmarks to meet the needs of overclockers and gamers.

The N68S7AA-8EKRS2H comes with the dynamic FoxOne Windows and BIOS overclocking technology. With the 680i SLI chipset and FoxOne, FSB, CPU, memory, PCI Express slots and other system settings can manually or automatically be adjusted to match performance needs. The nVidia nTunes utility is also supported and also offers dynamic overclocking of system parameters as well as SLI GPUs. The nVidia680i SLI chipset utilizes two 64-bit memory controllers and a 128-bit interface to support the increasing number of 64-bit OS/applications as well as legacy 32-bit support. The N68S7AA-8EKRS2H also supports SLI-ready memory modules with EPP which should increase memory bandwidth on nVidia SLI-based platforms.

The N68S7AA-8EKRS2H graphics subsystem features three PCI Express x16 slots running at true x16 implementations. The PCIE x16 slots deliver over 4 GB/s of upstream and downstream data traffic and are nVidiaSLI-ready. In addition the N68S7AA-8EKRS2H is of course ready to run the graphics-driven Windows Vista Premium operating system set to debut this season. The third PCI Express slot can be used for new three GPU applications, a physics card or another PCIe card.

The N68S7AA-8EKRS2H secures digital media assets via a server-grade storage system that supports up to seven Serial ATA II hard disk drives (1 x eSATA) with up to 3 GB/s data transfer speed, native and tagged command queuing, and hot-plug functionality. Teamed-up with nVidia MediaShield Storage Technology, the N68S7AA-8EKRS2H accelerates the creation of RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5 and JBOD configurations across SATA drives using a simple, wizard-based interface. The integrated RAID support enhances disk performance and promotes rigid data protection without the need for an additional RAID card.

The board comes with 8-channel high-definition audio, an S/PDIF interface and is packed with all I/O essentials including, 2 x PCIe x 1 slots, 2 x PCI slots, 10 high-speed USB 2.0 ports and 2 x IEEE 1394 ports to conveniently connect digital devices and consumer electronics.
