Gigabyte today launched the GA-N680SLI-DQ6 high end gaming platform, featuring the advanced NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI MCP chipset, support for the Core 2 Extreme Quad Core processors and delivering the Gigabyte 6-Quad technologies.

In addition to native 1333 FSB support for the latest Intel Core2 Extreme Quad-Core processors, the GA-N680SLI-DQ6 features the nForce 680i chipset with support for SLI technology, including two PCI Express x16 connections and support for an additional PCI Express x8 connection, allowing users to add a standalone physics graphics processor for an even greater boost of graphics performance. The GA-N680SLI-DQ6 also supports NVIDIA LinkBoost technology, which automatically increases bandwidth up to 25% when select GeForce graphics cards are detected, delivering enhanced system performance and maximum overclocking ability.

Ensuring the highest levels of gaming performance with support for high dual channel DDR2 800 memory architecture, the GA-N680SLI-DQ6 delivers an additional boost in memory performance with support for NVIDIA SLI-Ready memory with EPP technology for one-click access to enhanced memory settings for unlocking even higher levels of memory performance up to 1200MHz. The GA-N680SLI-DQ6 makes your gaming experience come further alive with 8 channel High Definition audio support, delivering the highest levels of sound clarity.

The GA-N680SLI-DQ6 delivers several advanced GIGABYTE innovations including an All-solid Capacitor design, the revolutionary Crazy Cool2 and Silent Pipe2 cooling technologies featuring an all-new heat pipe design, Quad Gigabit LAN, Quad-Triple Phase power, QuadBIOS, and Quad eSATA 3Gb/s with RAID functionality.
