World's first 1100 watt powersupply

Tagan has just released the world's first 1100 watt ppowersupply, the TG-1100. Tagan promises it is more than sufficient to power a system with a multicore processor and four graphics cards, as it has six 12V lines all providing a maximum of 20A (240W). The 3.3V line provides up to 20A and the 5V rail up to 6.5A.

The TG-1100 has a potentiometer allowing the user to adjust the voltage going into the system, and Tagan promises a maximum drop of 0.5% on each rail. It comes with four 6-pin PCI-E connectors, three SATA lines with 10 connectors for all the hard disks, floppy disks, and media drives you can find, one Molex line with 3 connectors for the old model drives connector, and it includes a SATA to Molex adaptor. All connectors have solid plastic-over-metal mesh-wrap to provide EMI shielding.

To keep the heat generated by the PSU it has two 80mm, one for intake and one for exhaust purposes. The heatsinks inside the PSU have been rounded off to improve the airflow. The PSU is available now, some online shops have it in stock for around US$ 340.
