According to the Golem news website NEC has just introduced a new screen in Japan, the Multisync LCD2690WUXi. The screen carries the unusual size of 25,5 inch and has a standard resolution of 1920 x 1200. The screen is able to show two A4 sized documents next to eachother at 100%, and still has room for the application's toolbars.

Next to the size the screen is able to show 95,5% of the RGB colorscheme, has 178 degees viewing angles, a 7ms response time and a contrastratio of 800:1.  The Multisync LCD2690WUi sports a DVI-D, DVI-I and a D-Sub connection, weighs in at 12,8 kilos and uses 111 Watts. 

The monitor should be available in shops soon, prices are expected to end up between 1.220 and 1.360 euros.
