HIS introduces X1650Pro ICEQ
HIS today introduces the HIS X1650Pro IceQ 512MB GDDR3/DDR2 card, A card with doubl ethe memoy of a generic X1650Pro card and sporting the IceQ air cooling.
HIS claims that with the IceQ cooling the card will stay a lot cooler than with the standard cooling as it draws cool air from the outside into the case. HIS claims that the difference in temperature can be no less than 11 degrees, while still operating at a 20dB noise level. Next to being cooler and quieter the IceQ cooler is UV reactive, a feature that can appeal to case modders or users with a case window.
The card sports two DVI connections, a combined TV-out/component port and is compatible with the upcoming Windows Vista. The card is available immediately and should popup in stores soon. The price is unknown at the time of writing this newsitem.
