The X-540 speaker set is meant to be Logitech's answer for gamers who don't want to break the bank in order to purchase a surround speaker set.

The X-540 consists of four satellite speakers of 7.4 Watts each, one center speaker of 15.4 Watts and a 25 Watt subwoofer for a grand total of 70 Watts RMS. Logitech didn't only think of the price when designing this set. Logitech also considered the lack of space on the modern desks in to account. The Satellites, center speaker and subwoofer are designed to look good without taking up too much space, in addition each sattelite speaker is wall mountable and the center speaker comes with a special clip which allows it to be placed on top of most TFT monitors so as to reduce desktop clutter.

Logitech also implemented its Matrix surround sound technology which allows the X-540 speaker set to create 5.1 or surround sound from a two channel stereo source.

The Logitech X-540 speaker set also consists of a control center, colour-coded audio cables for ease of installation, games console adapter, manual and 2-years of limited warranty.

The Logitech X-540 speaker set is available for an estimated retail price of around $95,99
