HIS releases low profile silent X1300

HIS has recently released a new version of the X1300, designed to be used in small form factor PC's and media centre cases. The X1300 silence is a low profile PCI-Express card with a dual slot silent cooler and sports two DVI connections for a resolution up to 2560 x 1600.

The card features ATI's Hypermemory II, so that system memory can be used as graphics memory. The card can support up to a total of 512MB of graphics memory, the card itself has 128MB of DDR2 at 500MHz on board. The ATI chip supports SM 3.0 and ATI's AVIVO technology for better video playback, and is able to accelerate the H264 codec for HD video.

The cards are available immediately, prices on the web at the time of writing this article are around 119 US dollars or 70 pounds.
