VR-Zone posted a newsitem today claiming that there is a problem with the GeForce 8800GTX cards that have been manufactured up to date. The transistor controlling the 2D/3D switching does not work properly which causes artifacts and 3d corruption. This problem only affects the GTX model of the cards, the GTS models have not got this problem.

Hardware.Info can confirm the claims made by VR-Zone, as we have heard from a reliable source that there definitely is a problem with the transistors the 8800GTX cards, and all models have been recalled by all manufacturers. This however will not affect the planned launch this Wednesday the 8th of November. We have been told that the cards will release as planned and GTX models without the described problems will be available at launch.
