Sweex introduces new Firewire PC and PCI cards

The Sweex 2 Port FireWire 800 and 1 Port FireWire 400 PCI Card (FW011) are meant to offer high transfer speeds for users of digital video cameras, professional audio, external high-speed disks, CD-RW recorders and professional scanners, who need to transport large volumes of data across a FireWire connection. In addition to a single FireWire 400 standard port (IEEE 1394a), this product also contains two second generation FireWire 800 ports (IEEE 1394b), which are twice as fast as the previous standard. Large files, such as digital video, can be transferred to and from the computer at speeds of up to 800 Mbps.

In addition, Sweex introduces the Sweex 2 Port FireWire 800 and 1 Port FireWire 400 PC Card (FW012). This product is equal to the aforementioned card in terms of functionality, but is intended for notebook users. Both the PC and PCI cards are fitted with FireWire 800 and FireWire 400 connections. Therefore, only a single card needs to be purchased to connect all FireWire products to the PC or notebook, regardless of the FireWire standard.
Both models include a CD-ROM with software, drivers and a manual in 13 languages.
