Building on its record breaking graphics performance recognised throughout the PC industry, Sapphire Technology has just enhanced its range of graphics accelerators with the most powerful graphics processing solutions yet.

The Sapphire X1950 family is a development of the X1900 series, aimed at the hardcore enthusiast who demands state of the art performance. The use of GDDR4 memory and enhanced clock speeds of 650MHz (core) and 1000MHz (memory) make the X1950XTX the fastest single card in the market, which together with the X1950 Crossfire Edition and a suitable Crossfire enabled mainboard will deliver the fastest overall graphics performance ever achieved with production cards.

The Sapphire X1950 uses the same architecture as the highly successful X1900XTX. This includes 48 pixel shader processors and 8 vertex shader processors together with a 512-bit ring-bus based internal memory controller together delivering true DirectX9 Shader Model 3.0 compatibility. Sapphire's X1950XTX and X1950 Crossfire Editions will be available from September 14th 2006. Sapphire's X1900XTX continues to be available, offering enthusiasts a choice of high performance graphics solutions at different price points.

The huge dynamic range of these processor families enables ultra realistic effects - such as dynamic soft shadows and the physical simulation of fluids like rain or water - to be processed faster than ever before. Image quality is unrivalled, with 64-bit floating point High Dynamic Range rendering (HDR), blending capability and high quality anisotropic filtering (AF) combined with up to 12x Anti-Aliasing (AA) in Crossfire mode. The architecture also supports Avivo delivering vibrant high fidelity images and video playback to the latest High Definition video standards and is HDTV ready.
