Logitech today has announced two new products that they claim can make computer use more efficient. It concern the introducion of two new mice that sport the revolutionary MicroGear precision Scroll wheel. This wheel can automatically scroll for 7 seconds, making it easy to navigate through large excell sheets or hundreds of pages in a document with only one short movevement of the finger. Next to this the One Touch Search is introduced with these new products; with this techonoly the user can select a word in a document and with one click can search for this word throughout the whole document.
Microgear Precision Scroll wheel
This wheel simplifies the way users scroll through documents in two ways; the free spin mode enables to user to scroll through 10.000 rows in an Excel document within seven seconds. A traditional scroll wheel would need 500 movements to reach the same row, which on average would take a user seven minutes. The new scroll wheel also has an improved click to scroll option, where users can choose what distance they would like to move with one turn of the scroll wheel. The new construction of the wheel enables the users to easily change between the free scroll and lick to scroll modes, making the mice extremely userfriendly.
One touch search
Another new feature is the One touch search, that can be linked to the preferred search engine of the user. When the user highlights a word or phrase in a document or on a web page a search can be started using that word or phrase with only one click. The search can be performed on the internet or on the computer itself.
The MX Revolution mouse
As stated before Logitech introduces two new mice; the first one, the MX Revolution , is aimed at desktop users. The mouse has seven buttons, all programmable to suit the user's needs. Next to the new scroll wheel a second scroll wheel is placed near the thumb position. This wheel can be used to switch between applications or zooming in and out when viewing pictures or documents. The Smart Shift technology recognises the speed of the scroll wheel, and switches automatically between free spin mode and click to scroll mode. The MX Revolution will be in stores on the 25th of august and has a recommended retail price of € 99,99.
The VX Revolution mouse
The VX Revolution is a mouse designed for notebook users, and offers a perfect balance between portability and comfort. Thi smouse is slightly smaller than the MX Revolution and has a small storage space for the 2.4GHz micro receiver. Teh VX Revolution has a button to switch between free spin mode and click to scroll mode. In stead of a second scroll like the MX Revolution wheel this mouse has a zoom switch on the side. The VX Revolution will also be available on the 25th of August and has a recommended retail price of € 79,99.
