Logitech announced three new members of it's family of Cordless Desktops, including the Logitech EasyCall Desktop -- the world's first combination of a mouse, keyboard, headset and speakerphone. With its advanced audio technology, integrated controls for placing and accepting calls, and easy-to-use software, the EasyCall Desktop includes everything people need to take advantage of Internet calling today.

Logitech's two other new offerings also include features that enhance the experience of today's most often used PC applications and improve people's efficiency and comfort. The high-performance Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 3200 Laser mouse-and-keyboard combination has a dynamic search/zoom panel that helps people quickly find what they need on the Internet or among the thousands of files on their computer. The mid-range Logitech Cordless Desktop LX 710 Laser makes manipulating digital photos easy, and is Logitech's most-affordable-ever mouse-and-keyboard package to include a mouse with precision laser-tracking technology.

The Logitech EasyCall Desktop

The first-of-its-kind Logitech EasyCall Desktop is a complete solution for Internet calling and navigating the PC. The EasyCall Desktop's full-duplex speakerphone includes Logitech RightSound Technology, which eliminates echoes for clear headset-free Internet phone calls. The speakerphone acts as the control center for the Internet calling experience, with volume up and down, mute, call pick-up, and call hang-up buttons that make it easy for people to manage Internet calls. The product also comes with a stereo headset that can be plugged into a convenient port on the speakerphone when privacy is important.

A full communications panel on the stylish cordless keyboard provides people with the ability to launch Internet communications applications, easily change their online status, and make and accept calls. Convenient speed-dialing controls offer one-touch calling to friends, family, or co-workers. These easily accessible buttons can be used to store and dial either telephone numbers or IP addresses associated with user names. The product is optimized for use with Internet calling applications, such as Yahoo! Messenger with Voice and AOL's AIM service in the U.S., and Skype in Europe.

The keyboard also offers one-touch access to applications such as e-mail and a Web browser, and a media panel makes it easy to control digital music in applications such as iTunes and Windows Media Player. The cordless mouse features Logitech's high-performance laser technology, delivering exceptional precision and control on virtually any surface.

The Logitech EasyCall Desktop will be available in the U.S. and Europe beginning in mid-September. The suggested retail price in the U.S. is $129.99.

The Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 3200 Laser

The Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 3200 Laser delivers when efficiency matters most, both for computers running Windows XP and for the upcoming Windows Vista operating system. The keyboard's dynamic search/zoom panel makes navigating digital content and finding information simple. Innovative One-Touch Search buttons can be used to search for key words, phrases, or file names on the Web or on a computer using a person's preferred search application, such as Google, Yahoo! Search or MSN Search. People simply highlight a word or phrase in a document, then click the appropriate button to see a list of results. A touch-sensitive slider allows people to scroll up and down or zoom in and out of a document, Web page, or photo, while an adjacent button can instantly return the view on any file to 100 percent. Another control on both the keyboard and mouse enables people to see a list of open applications and windows, and switch among them -- perfect for the multi-tasking environment. People running the Windows Vista operating system on their computers will be able to use this button to access the Flip3D feature.

The keyboard also offers one-touch access to Internet calling with its dedicated communications panel, which enables people to launch an application, answer calls or hang up. The keyboard's media panel offers controls to efficiently navigate music tracks, shuffle playlists, and adjust volume in popular digital music players. A built-in digital display shows time and date information with timer and alarm functions, and notifies the user when the keyboard battery is low.

Both the laser mouse and keyboard are designed with comfort in mind. The mouse has gently contoured sides and soft rubber grips that offer enhanced support and comfort, especially over long periods of time. The keyboard includes an integrated soft-touch palm rest, which provides extra support and can help reduce fatigue.

The Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 3200 Laser is Logitech's first product to feature AgION(R) antimicrobial compound, providing protection against the growth of a broad range of bacteria, mold and mildew.

The Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 3200 Laser will be available in the U.S. beginning in October and in Europe beginning in December. The suggested retail price in the U.S. is $99.99.

Logitech Cordless Desktop LX 710 Laser

The Logitech Cordless Desktop LX 710 Laser combines Logitech's leading laser mouse technology with powerful controls for digital photography that make it convenient to edit, view and share photos and other images. With laser tracking technology, people can edit photos with pixel precision. One-touch controls allow people to launch a favorite photo application, rotate pictures and zoom in and out of photos with ease. The keyboard also offers a convenient media panel that allows people to efficiently navigate their digital music.

Designed to maximize comfort, the keyboard also features three-way adjustable tilt legs that offer people the ability to choose their preferred keyboard angle.

The Logitech Cordless Desktop LX 710 Laser will be available in the U.S. and Europe beginning in mid-August. The suggested retail price in the U.S. is $79.99.
