Apacer Technology Inc. has just released the PH150 Magic USB hub, an 4-port USB 2.0 solution that has two rotatable ports should give the user more freedom to connect devices. Made of aluminum alloy, two ports can rotate 90 or 180 degrees so that larger, bulkier USB devices can be connected from different angles.

Backwards compatible with USB 1.1 specification, the PH150 provides up to 480 Mbps transfer rate. The PH150 can be used without need for an external power source, but an optional power adapter is available for USB devices that consume more power, for example CD-ROM/CD burners, external hard drives and printers. The PH150 is plug-and-play compatible and supports the hot-swapping function. Over-current detection and protection is provided that limits the amount of current a USB peripheral can draw, this can help prevent system crashes and increase PC system stability.
