For the first time, Lenovo is offering AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 dual-core processors, AMD Athlon(tm) 64 and AMD Sempron(tm) processors on the ThinkCentre A-Series family, giving customers more flexibility than ever before. Large enterprise and mid-market customers focused on acquisition costs will find that the A60 provides the quality and manageability they expect in a ThinkCentre without sacrificing the enterprise-level features synonymous with the ThinkCentre line.
The A60 provides exceptional performance on the business applications that customers use most. From graphic design and complex statistical computation, to medical imaging, the A60 allows for fast, easy downloading and processing that saves valuable time and helps to increase productivity.

"Customers want stable solutions and innovative technologies that help them reduce costs," said Thomas Tobul, executive director, Global Desktop Marketing, Lenovo. "Our new ThinkCentre A60 with AMD processors, coupled with our ThinkVantage Technologies, expands the range of flexible and innovative solutions available to our customers through the ThinkCentre lineup."
ThinkCentre A60 models are preloaded with ThinkVantage Technologies, a suite of software tools that help maintain user productivity and reduce costly and time consuming calls to the help desk. Using Rescue and Recovery, customers can quickly access a set of self-recovery tools to help diagnose, contact help and recover from a virus or other software crash, even if the primary operating system will not boot. Managing a fleet of ThinkCentre A60 desktops is made easier with System Migration Assistant, which quickly transfers user-specific data and settings from one desktop to another. In addition, toolless-entry drives, adapter cards and steel chassis further enhances the simplicity of the ThinkCentre A60 by allowing users to easily access components for quick repairs or upgrades.
"The AMD desktop processors powering the ThinkCentre A60 deliver outstanding price-performance and enable a seamless upgrade to future operating systems like Microsoft Vista, ideal for today's heavy multi-tasking user," said Bob Brewer, corporate vice president, Desktop Division, AMD. "Working closely with Lenovo, we remain committed to offering flexibility and choice through our family of AMD64 processors, while enabling new levels of performance and meaningful innovations like AMD-Virtualization(tm) and high-performance, unbuffered DDR2 memory. We look forward to expanding our successful global partnership with this new product."
The A60 offers customers leading-edge performance for today's and tomorrow's software and is equipped with serial ATA drive support, hard drives up to 2 X 500GB, DDR2 memory support, and nVidia GF 6100 integrated graphics. Additionally, the ThinkCentre A60 supports PCI Express graphics adapters, which deliver accelerated graphic capabilities for detailed design programs and streamlined video signal processing to help improve productivity in single or dual monitor environments. The A60 also comes equipped with 6 USB 2.0 ports, front side audio ports and internal speakers.
