Shuttle XPC Barebone SG33G5: first small form factor Barebone with HDMI port

Shuttle has introduced a new incarnation of their popular small form factor barebone product range. The SG33G5's basic configuration is based on the Intel G33/ICH9DH chipset, with support for Intel's Core 2 Quad, Intel Core 2 Duo E6000/E4000, Pentium Dual-Core E2000 and Celeron 400 series processors. If desired, the Shuttle XPC Barebone SG33G5's black, brush-finished aluminium chassis can accommodate up to 4 GB of DDR2-800 memory in dual-channel mode, and SATA hard drives be connected utilising one of three internal SATA300 ports or externally via eSATA.

Windows Vista's Aero interface runs without any problems, thanks to the DirectX 9 compatible Intel GMA 3100 graphics chips, and a HDMI output at the back of the computer supports the playback of copy protection HDCP high-definition content. DVI displays can be connected through a HDMI/DVI adapter, and for enhanced graphics, this Shuttle XPC Barebone also accommodates modern PCI Express graphics cards.

Sound is provided by a 7.1 audio chip with Dolby Digital Live! and DTS Connect certification, the audio signal can be transported via S/PDIF to connected speakers without any loss in quality.

Finally, a long life is guaranteed by the main board's high quality solid capacitors, and the power needs of the whole system are taken care of by a reliable 250-Watt power supply.
