Dell introduces new 24" monitor

Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP-HC 24-Inch Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor

The new Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP-HC flat panel LCD monitor features so called TrueColor technology, which supposedly provides 92 percent color gamut coverage of the NTSC color space, enabling highly vibrant and vivid images such as deeper reds and crisper blues. Dell claims a 6 millisecond response time for the panel, aiming the 2407WFP-HC squarely at power users  from high end graphic designers, to gamers. It will be available in the U.S. in July and starts at $679.

Additional features include:

• 24-inch widescreen viewable image size
• Maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA)
• 6 ms typical response time with 1,000:1 contrast ratio
• Dell TrueColor Wide Cold-Cathode Fluorescent Lighting (Wide-CCFL) backlight that delivers deep and vibrant reds, greens and blues and accurate color representation
• Integrated 9-in-2 media card reader in a slim monitor bezel
• Height-adjustable stand with tilt and swivel capabilities
• Four USB 2.0 ports for connecting devices such as digital cameras and printers
• Easy display detachment from stand can enable panel to be wall-mounted
