Find the best product - automatically!

In the summer of 2006 we introduced the new Hardware.Info website, featuring a database filled with specifications and benchmark results of all products tested in our lab. Since then our site has offered a veritable treasure trove of product information, yet one deceptively simple question remained: "Which product is right for me (to buy)?"

Today Hardware.Info presents the answer, in the shape of the new Hardware.Info Product Advisors. You can access this new site functionality by clicking the search button on any product group category page. By means of a few easy to answer questions we can determine which products will suit your purpose. On answering these questions you will be presented by a list of products that meet your criteria, all of them tested by us. To narrow down the choice even more, based on our test results all products are scored by performance and by price/performance. In short, not only will you learn which products would be suitable for you, you will also find out which of them are, according to our test, the best of their type!

The advanced hardware enthusiast will be pleased to learn we have further enhanced the search options on our product pages! The second tab offers an easy to use but powerful alternative search tool, allowing you to directly select products that meet certain criteria. A range of pulldown menus, adapting dynamically to your interests, enables you to narrow down your choice until you find exactly what you are looking for. As before, you can still see average retail prices of all products, and all products feature links to specifications, reviews and prices. Comparing two or more products entails nothing more than selecting them - with one click you will see comparisons in tables and benchmark charts.
