New Geforce 8600 cards released

As you can read in our test of yesterday the GeForce 8600 and 8500 cards have been officially released. This usually means that all nVidia partners have immediately announced their versions of the cards. We have tried to create a complete overview of all the models that have been announced by all the partners, for the exact performance of the chips please check out our extensive reviewof the 8600 and GT and GTS chips. Complete specifications and more info can be found on the manufacturers website, listed in the source field at the top of this message.

XFX:

XFX doesn't disappoint us and has immediately released factory overclocked versions of the new Geforce 8 cards. More info on the XXX edition can be found in our 8600 cards test, the picture shown here is the XXX edition of the 8600 GTS. 

MSI:

MSI has released various models with the new GeForce chips. Next to the "Overclocking Editions" of the cards they have also released a few "Silent Editions", which are passively cooled and ideal for a media centre setup.

Albatron:

Albatron was one of the first to officially announce their versions of the new cards. They are releasing a  8500 GT,  8600 GT and a  8600 GTS. The picture below is the 8600 GTS.

Foxconn:

Foxconn is releasing the complete line up of the new GeFroce chips, and chose to bundle their 8600 cards with a version of the  Restore It 7.0 sofware. Below is a picture of their 8600 GTS.

Leadtek:

Leadtek is releasing a 8600 GTS, 8600 GT and a factory overclocked version of the 8500 GT. With the 8600 cards you get a full version of teh games Serious Sam II and Joint Task Force, but with teh 8500 GT only the latter game is in the box.

Point of View:

Point of View naturally released the complete series of new chips, the fastest is shown below

Club 3D

Club 3D is no different to the other partners and have a version of all the chips on offer. This is a picture of the Club 3D 8600 GTS.

Gainward:

Gainward usually has versions of the cards that stand out from the rest of the manufacturers, and again this time they did the same. Gainward used a completely different cooler than the reference design, that not only look good but should also keep thecard cooler and less noisy. The disadvantage is that the card wil take up to slots in your PC. 

Gigabyte:

Gigabyte is no stranger on the graphics card market and have released a complete line up of 8500 and 8600 cards. they have both active and passively cooled models and bundle some interesting games with their versions. The 8500 GT comes with a full version of Warhammer 40000 Dawn of War: Dark Crusade and the 8600 models are bundeled with Supreme Commander. 

ASUS:

ASUS could not stay behind and released models of both the 8500 and the 8600 cards. The cards have a different cooler than the reference design and ASUS claims it keeps the card 14 degrees cooler than the others. ASUS chose to bunde the new game S.T.A.L.K.E.R., shadow of Chernobyl with their cards.
