Reg Hardware has posted a news message about plans from belkin to release a Network USB Hub, a five-port box with an 802.11n connection. This would make it easier to connect USB devices like printers, flash drives etc to a wireless network

The unit has a total of 5 USB 2.0 ports, two at the front and three at the back. Bundled software allows computers connected to the WLAN to talk to any device plugged into the hub as if it were plugged in right there, Belkin claims.

The hubs runs on a version of linux softare to enable interaction of all features to the connected computers, without the need of the device to be physically connected to the PC.

Belkin's Network USB Hub is supposed to go on sale in the US in June for around $130, and will be available in the UK soon after that. Initially the device will only be coming with Windows compatible software, but Belkin is working on a Mas OS X version as well which should be ready in August.
