SiS announced that its PCCHIPS P33G motherboard, which is based on SiS671FX chipset, has entered mass production. The SiS671FX is SiS's first chipset compatible for Windows Vista, and is considered one of the most advanced products by SiS.
With the SiS671FX/SiS968 chipsets, the PCCHIPS P33G motherboard is able to support Intel Core 2 Duo and Intel Celeron D FSB1066/800/533MHz processors. As for memory capacity, it supports up to 4GB of DDR2 667/533 memory. The PCCHIPS P33G motherboard is compatible with Windows Vista. WIth its embedded SiS MirageTM3 graphics engine, the PCCHIPS P33G motherboard delivers both 2D and 3D performance.In addition, it provides an extra PCI Express x16 slot for future graphics upgrades.
The SiS968 Southbridge chipset is paired with the SiS671FX Northbridge chipset to enrich the functions of the PCCHIPS P33G motherboard. With the SiS968 Southbridge chipset, the PCCHIPS P33G is able to support PCI Express x1 interface. It also sports two independent Serial ATA high-speed transmission ports and eight USB2.0 ports. Furthermore, it supports High Definition Audio to provide Dolby Surround audio output and also supports 10/100Mbps Ethernet Network.
