E-Scrap Technologies announces its recent investment in a hard drive shredder. The company already offers guaranteed, secure removal of data from all viable computers but this new shredder should reach a new audience of organizations requiring an additional level of security when disposing of electronic materials.
After being destroyed, the shredded devices are scrapped for appropriate recycling of the metal and plastic components. The shredder provides the energy efficient destruction of a variety of hard drive media including:
- IBM Data Tapes
- Zip Disks
- CD's and DVD's
- IBM VXA-2 SCSI Tape Hard Drives
- DAT 72 Tapes
- Non Hot-Plug SATA Hard Drives
- IBM Simple-Swap SATA II Hard Drives
- DLTtape III XT
- Quantum DLT Tapes
- CompacTape
- Electronic Media
- General Server Tapes
