Taiwan-based Team Group is going old skool with its new P2 solid state drives as they don't feature sexy SATA 6.0 Gbps or even 3.0 Gbps connectivity, but make use of an IDE interface. The P2 2.5-inch drives come in 32, 64 and 128GB capacities, boast MLC (multi-level cell) NAND flash memory chips, a MTBF of 2 million hours, and deliver read/write speeds of 80/50 MB/s (32GB model) or 60/40 MB/s (64 and 128GB SSDs). The yet unpriced and undated P2 SSDs will be backed by a two-year warranty.
