Asus serves up 3D Vision gaming with the G51J-SZ028V laptop

Taiwan-based manufacturer Asus has now unveiled the G51J-SZ028V, a limited edition Republic of Gamers laptop which aims to provide a "true" stereo 3D gaming experience. Bundled with a pair of wireless 3D glasses which can be recharged via USB, the new portable PC measures 395 x 277 x 44 mm, weights 3.5kg and features a black and blue color scheme, an illuminated keyboard, Altec Lansing speakers, a 15.6-inch LED backlit LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, plus the Express Gate instant-on OS, and a 2 megapixel webcam. Spec wise, the gaming laptop boasts a 1.6 GHz Core i7 720QM processor, 4GB of RAM, a 640GB hard drive (a 2x 500GB HDD option will apparently also be available), a GeForce GTX 260M 1GB graphics card, and a Blu-Ray drive. Moreover, the machine packs an ExpressCard slot, an 8-in-1 card reader, eSATA and HDMI ports, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a 6-cell battery. The Asus G51J-SZ028V will run Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and is expected to become available in Europe in late November.
