AMD has rather quietly released the fourth beta version of its ATI Stream Software Development Kit, a package that enables the making of applications that use CPU and GPU power to accelerate their processes. This new release is fully compliant with the OpenCL 1.0 specs, it includes OpenCL GPU support, it is Windows 7 ready, has native Windows 64bit support, and fixes a number of issues found in previous versions. The beta 4 supports Radeon HD 5000 and HD 4000 series desktop cards, the Mobility Radeon HD 4000 family, as well as the ATI FirePro V8750, V8700, V7750, V5700, V3750, AMD FireStream 9270, 9250, the ATI Mobility FirePro M7740 and ATI Radeon Embedded E4690 GPU. Those registered in the ATI Stream SDK v2.0 Beta program can download the new SDK from this page.
