MCE to deliver 1TB storage solution for MacBook Pro

Apple muncher and all-round fan, MCE Technologies has updated its storage offer by announcing its intention to ship a 1TB drive solution for 17-inch MacBook Pro laptops. In order to have such an offer MCE decided on using two 2.5-inch drives, each boasting 500GB worth of storage. Both working at 5400 rpm, the drives will replace both the standard MacBook drive and the integrated optical drive, the latter being made external with the help of a USB 2.0 enclosure kit. MCE's solution will come with a 3 year warranty and cost $799. The shipping date for the 1TB OptiBay is set for May 16.
