For those not liking the idea of having four memory modules onboard, OCZ has prepared a little treat under the form of the new PC2-8000 Platinum Edition 4GB dual channel kit. With both performance and capacity in mind the kit should provide a viable DDR2 solution that doesn't blow your budget. Cooler by OCZ's platinum-mirrored XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) heatspreaders, the modules that make up the new kit are certified to work at 1000 MHz with 2.1 Volts and a latency of 5-5-5. This new possible companion to a 64bit Vista-powered system is set to cost $159.99 (yes, $160) and will have a lifetime warranty.
