Thecus preps N299 NAS device

NAS (Network-attached storage) specialist Thecus is preparing the release of a new, affordable storage device, the N299. This upcoming release will be Thecus' cheapest NAS to date but it will still boast premium features found on more expensive devices. The N299 will have two 3.5" storage bays ready to house up to 2TB of storage and will have both USB 2.0 connectivity and two Gigabit Ethernet ports. The new Nas supports SATA drives that can be configured in RAID 0, 1 or JBOD and comes with applications you might find very useful - Download Manager, iTunes Server and Photo Web Server. The 160x85x200 mm-sized Thecus N299 can be found at $200.
