Gigabyte Aurora 570 vs. NZXT Apollo vs. Recom Powerstation

Gigabyte 3D Aurora 570

The Gigabyte 3D Aurora 570 is almost twice as expensive as the other two in this review, it can be had for around £ 100. This is not strange as this case is made completely out of alimunium and looks retty stylish because of that. Five small blue lights accentuate the case when it is powered up and add to the design look of the case. Behind the front door there is room for five 525 inch devices and two 3,5 inch drives. Under the door there are connections for USB, FireWire and front audio, so that these can be accessed even when the door is closed.

The side panel has a large window witha mesh panel, and when opening the case it is evident that Gigabyte is aiming at casemodeers and overclockers with this model. At the rear there are pre drilled holes with rubber ring for external watercooling, and you do not need any tools when assembling a system with this case. Under the hard drive bracket there is a small box that can house screws (that you do not need) or any other small spare parts. The case comes as standard wuth three 12 cm LED fans, more than enough to create a decent airflow in the case.

The 3D Aurora 570 is not cheap, as stated before, but when you are comparing this case to other fully aluminium cases the price is certainly not excessive. We found the case to be very sturdy and stylish, and the preperation for watercooling is a definite pro.
