OCZ Platinum Rev. 2 / ATI Certified DDR2-800 review OCZ Platinum Rev. 2 / ATI Certified DDR2-800 review
Two new OCZ DDR2-800 modules under investigation

Conclusion

OCZ delivers excellent modules with the PC2-6400 ATI Crossfire and the PC2-6400 Platinum Revision 2. It does show in our tests that some other high-end DDR2 memory modules offer better overclocking results. This means that if you do want the highest performance figures, you should keep looking. If we take the price and especially the looks of the modules into consideration, we may conclude that there is very little wrong with these products. The silver-coloured Platinum Rev. 2 as well as the red-coloured ATI Crossfire-certified modules will go down well in a nice casemod. The fact that the red modules are "ATI Certified" seems to be little more than a marketing ploy, as both modules are extremely similar in every way except for looks and price. However, we can imagine that an ATI fanatic would easily cave in for the red modules with the ATI logo.
