Performance: GeForce 7900 GTO vs GTX

Off course we want to know how fast this card is exactly, and we put the card through our regular test suite of programs and benchmarks. The test system we use sports an Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 processors, 1GB DDR2 800 memory, ASUS P5W DH motherboard and a Western Digital Raptor 74 GB hard disk.The complete set of benchmark results is viewable on the nVidia GeForce 7900 GTO product detailpage.

The conclusion is quite obvious, the 7900GTO is around 10% slower on average than the 7900 GTX cards, as the scores in benchmarks hover between -5% and -15% to the GTX. For a card that is 42% cheaper though this is absolutely an excellent achievement.
