GeForce 7900 GTO: almost a 7900 GTX at a fraction of the price!

MSI NX7900GTO-T2D512E

As stated before the card MSI is offering is virtually identical to the 7900 GTX cards, which we think is a positive as the retail cooler on the 7900 GTX cards is one of the best we have ever encountered. The card sports 512MB of GDDr3, two DVI connections (one dual link) and offers a combined TV-out/component connection. SLI is as with all other 79xx cards supported.

We could overclock the card quite a bit, the GPU we could get up to 700MHZ which is not special, but considering that nVidia uses the best G71 chips on their GTX series it is very reasonable. The memory speeds we could increase to 861 MHz, a very good result, and the card performed around 12% better on overclocked setting in 3DMark06.

In the box we find all cables needed to connect the card, however we did not see any games or additional software. As the price of the card is extremely low, we were not really surprised that only the bare minimum is provided with the card.
